New: Low Friction Seal
A even more efficient operation of the Cargo Floor sliding floor system with the arrival of the new low friction seal. This optimization is now standard on all Knapen sliding floor trailers with Cargo Floor sliding floor system, with the exception of the leak proof and L-shape floor plank profiles.
Function of the seal
In the Knapen sliding floor trailer, there is a seal between the floor planks. This is slid into a special recess on the side of each floor plank. The plastic sealing profile prevents cargo from leaking out and prevents splashing water and road dirt from entering from the road surface.
Less wear and less CO2 emissions
The contour of the seal has been changed, which reduces friction in the low friction seal. This optimization requires approximately 10 bar less oil working pressure than before, which means that the engine does not have to work as hard. This results in less wear of the moving parts and less CO2 emissions.
Material and assembly
The low friction seal is composed of a specially composed TPU material with wear-resistant properties that seals and ensures good conduction. There is a “THIS SIDE UP” marking on the side of the new low friction seal to ensure that the seal can be placed correctly during assembly for optimum operation.
